So, only 2 weeks (or 9 days technically) left at work.
I'm kind of excited, but kind of not. I'm nervous about not knowing what I am going to be doing. I'm also going to miss the friends I've made at work. We'll exchange email addresses and such so we can keep in touch so that's nice as well.
I really don't have much to write about today. I'm kinda sleepy, I need caffeine real bad. I keep yawning .. Zzzz Zzzz Zzzz
I went on my interview after work yesterday. It seemed to go really well. So afterwards I called my rep from the temp agency and told her I was totally interested. She said she would get back to me the latest tomorrow(Friday). I got a call back about 30 minutes later and she said that I got the job! How excited am I?!?!
So I am giving my 2-weeks notice at where I work now. Let's see how they will take it! And then, in 2 weeks I will be going on vacation to PA (wow it's right around the corner!!)
So anyone that has my old work email, delete it. If you want my new one, email my personal email and I will give it to you when I get it.
If you want to know where I will be working Click Here.
So I received a call earlier today from the temp agency and they said that I had one of the highest scores they have ever seen! OMG! I have an interview after work today.
Wish me luck!
*G*
So my testing for the possible new job went well. There was supposed to be another candidate at this testing, but she never showed up. Good for me!!
The test was all mathematical, so for me it was cake!
Part 1: adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing
Part 2: adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing decimals
Part 3: adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing fractions
Part 4: checking to see if 2 sets of numbers are the same or different
Part 5: finding the next number in the sequence
Yeah .. not a tough test at all. I'm really excited to hear back from the temp agency to see if I got it!! The only "bad" thing about where this place is - the commute. It took me about an hour to get home at 5pm. I guess that is typical commute. I will have to find a better way. Oh and not to mention there is a bunch of construction in that area which doesn't help at all!
Other than that, not a whole lot going on.
I have decided that WoW has fully taken over my life, though at least I am still going to work (and Happy Hour). I really just want to take a week off from playing, but it makes it difficult when Ken plays. That's the way it's going to be when we go to PA in May becuase I don't think that anyone has wireless internet there.
So I have my, well, I guess you can call it an interview, after work today. It's basically just testing and paperwork. Should be easy though because it's all math! w00t
I'm really excited, though depressed at the same time. Ok, not totally depressed, just disappointed in myself. I've gained a bit of weight and now most of my pants don't fit me anymore. I've been giving them to my sister, since she can fit in them. The other problem I've been finding with my pants is that they've become too short. I have this issue with pants that don't cover my shoes. They don't have to dragging on the ground, but I need them to be decently long. I hate sitting down and my pants rising to my mid-calf.
Anywho, I'll be hitting Ross Dress for Less on my lunch break to find a pair or so of pants/capris that actually fit me. Maybe a skirt as well. I don't need anymore shirts. Though I'm definitely going to look for a jacket-type top to go over camis, tanks and such. Then I'll probably stop off at McDonalds for lunch and get my new fav - Bacon Ranch Chicken Sandwhich. I'm going to get it grilled this time though, with no tomato and then I take the bacon off cause it gives me heartburn. It's really good.
I wish that Ken didn't work on Saturdays. I miss going hiking. We only went once, but it was so much fun! I love going out like that. There is so much to see, and Ken knows so much about hiking and trails and nature stuff. We could go on Sundays, but that is his only day to really relax. Going to school weekdays then working on Saturday .. yeah. Maybe eventually. Or at least once before it gets super hot outside.
This is us on Hawes Trail when we went::
BTW - Sketchers sneakers with no laces, dark t-shirt and jean capris are definitely not the right apparel to go hiking in.
I'm very glad there are people that read my blog that don't necessarily leave comments. That's cool with me. I don't expect people to comment on what I write.
I just read Paula's Blog. I have to admit something here. I am 100% jealous of people who are so totally dedicated and motivated to finish college. I admire them as well. I don't have the drive to do so, though I am trying really hard right now! I am taking a class at the University of Phoenix. I really want to finish and get my degree. It will help me out in so many ways! But then again, I don't have the motivation or dedication to do so. I have done all my homeworks and assignments so far, so I think that is a big thing for me. I don't like reading textbooks, so I usually just skim through the readings and get what I can from them.
So to all of those who are able to finish getting their degree, Congrautlations.
To those of you who can't, but are trying, Don't give up and make school #1 priority. Don't put anything, other than family, ahead of it.
Well, it is Monday. I was awake kind of early, and would have been in to work before 7am, but my hair was being a pain and so I didn't get into work until 7:20. Frown!
So I was going through some of my old posts and noticed that some of my pictures aren't coming up. That is because I hate things being disorganized (ask Ken) so I put all my pictures into sub-folders. So I was trying to fix the links but my work internet is being funky again. I will have to remember to do it later (Yeah, right).
Today is a co-workers' birthday, so we are going to Olive Garden. Woohoo. I have Gift Cards! Yay! Free lunch! Though I was really in the mood for a sandwich today. Oh well.
Next thing to think about is what to get for dinner. Maybe one of those pork things, cause I know Ken really likes them.
Ok, well, I'm going to get a snack.
