I have been made aware that it has been a while since I have blogged. While this is true, I guess I can't say things haven't been happening in my life. I can say that it seems like I don't have the time anymore to blog. I used to blog daily when I was working full-time, bitching about how much I hated my job, or the people I work with, or this or that.
So here is the update.
I don't hate where I am in life anymore. I recently got married and couldn't be happier. I am living in a new house with him and we both know we have things good. Since I graduated in May, I got accepted into the grad program at ASU and am on my way to get a Masters in Landscape Architecture with a dual Masters in Architecture. I can say that I am quite happy doing what I am doing now, although I wish the economy were better so I can have a decent paying job to help supplement my financial aid.
So, like I said ... school has been keeping me busy, so I don't get to see my friends much, not to mention the fact that I live on the other side of town. But I always make time for them when I can. Of course, for me, school is my #1 priority, and because it is so demanding, I must concentrate fully on it.
And now it is Christmas time .. and in Arizona it's still getting into the 60's during the day. It doesn't feel much like Christmastime, but we will be making a trip up to Portland, where it has been snowing like crazy and even shut down the airport! I know I will be appreciating the warm weather when I come home.
I'm sure it will be another 6 months plus before I update again, but please be patient and let me know when you want me to update! :)
So, I did it! I graduated last Thursday May 8 with my BA in Design Studies. But, of course, it just a small step towards my ultimate goal ... my Masters in Landscape Architecture.
Woot! (Visit the post link)
So, I'm applying for grad school. The deadline is Sunday, April 20. I need to have my statement of intent, 3 letters of recommendation, take the GRE, a portfolio, and my contact information in by then. So far I have done .. well, my contact info has been turned in, and I handed out the letters of recommendation to people (I have to wait until then send it back in), I am working on my statement and will be working on my portfolio tomorrow. My GRE can be done after, thank goodness, so I will wait until after school. Horray!!
I will be applying for the Masters in Landscape Architecture 3+ program, which means it is 3 years plus 2 summers. The first summer session I will need to take 3 classes (YUCK!) and then 1 class the second session. The good thing is that I have already taken 2 classes, one which I need for the fall and the other for the following spring. So at least those are 2 classes down.
As for right now, I will be graduating with my BA in Design Studies in the Built Environment May 8th. More Horray!!!
So, that is the update as of right now.
Hope you all *crickets much?* enjoy the post!
Ok, I know I haven't updated in a while, but I have been super busy! School this semester has taken up a lot of time, plus I've been working at the SRC on campus to get some extra money. This winter should be less stressful though cause I'm not taking any classes and only working a little bit. Oh, I got a job working part time at an architect firm in Phoenix, so that is super exciting!! I'm only doing admin stuff right now, but the more I learn in school the more it will help me at work, and vice versa.
Oh, so here is my Spring Schedule. I will keep you updated on my grades for the Fall semester!

So, it's the 4th week of school, and it's almost over. Time has gone by so quickly that I can't believe a month has gone by! Only 3 more to go. Pretty soon mid-terms will be afoot. Projects and papers are going to be due. And then, before I know it, finals.
It will be 1 semester down, and one semester to go. I am so excited that I am going to be graduating in the spring! I just hope that I can create a schedule next semester that will work.
Unfortunately, I will be unable to go to Paris over the winter break, which makes me a bit sad. I really wanted to go. But I don't have the money to be able to pay for it. So, hopefully I will be able to save money from this semester and next and possibly go over the summer. I would love to get an internship somewhere over in Europe for the summer. I will have to start looking now, because I am sure that they go fast.
I have had some really cool things happen so far though. I met some new people at school, got an extra grant (free money!!), and got a new laptop. A MacBook Pro. Which i wasn't really expecting to get, and if I didn't I probaby could have gone to Paris, but decided to, and I am happy about it. I like it a lot.
I started with a personal trainer at school too, and I feel like it is a good thing because I am so laz when it comes to hitting the gym. I still haven't gone on my own, just when I have an appointment, which is stupid because I work at the gym! But by the end of the day, I just want to go home and relax. I need to get my mind motivated.
Things are so awesome right now.
(: I am so happy :)
