Someone help!
I changed the colors around, but I'm not sure if I like them yet or not. I kind of wanted to go with a black background theme, but couldn't think of any other colors that would look okay. If anyone has any suggestions about colors, let me know. I appreciate input!
I think in almost every one of my Friday posts I say TGIF. I am just so glad that tomorrow is going to be relaxing ... well, hopefully. I will probably end up doing some laundry. I'd like to hit the pool or something, but the one by the condo kind of scares me. Plus there are a ton of kids there over the weekend. So, if anyone wants to invite me to use their pool, I'll gladly accept! haha
I'm going to have to go out sometime soon to check out prices on mtn.bike shoes. I'm thinking I'll be spending around $80, plus $50 on shorts, $70 on a Camelback, and $80 on sunglasses. Total ... $280. I'll have to shop around for the best prices though. Anyone have any ideas where the best place to go is? I'm thinking REI, or that's where I am going to start.
So, we're starting up gaming again. I am super excited. That's always fun, and I get to hang out with the guys again. It's going to be different from the last campaign because Mike is making up the characters and we will be randomly rolling for them. So, it should be totally interesting. That is going to be every other Saturday for about 5 hours. Horray!!!
That's right, folks. I got my mountain bike last night!!! I am so excited about this. Now all I need to buy are: shoes, padded bike shorts, sunglasses, Camelback, and misc stuff.
After I got my bike, Ken and I went to see Sara and KJ in their summer dance program concert. It was interesting. There were a lot of good dances, and some I wasn't too sure of. But all-in-all it was fun. KJ decided that she was gonna steal the show at then end by throwing out her kneecap. Yay! They were on their last song, dancing away, and there went KJ on the floor. The fire department and paramedics showed up and took her away to the hospital. I hope she is okay. It looked really painful, but KJ is definitely a trooper.
After we headed to Applebees for some grub, and then Ken and I went home and I went to bed. Nothing all that exciting really. I just can't wait to ride my new bike!
Ok, so I guess I should explain what a "Red Party" is.
A red party, simply stated, is just that. Basically everything you wear, eat and drink has to be red. It's just a themed party. If you are not wearing red, then the host/hostess will dress you up with assorted red items including dresses, ties, togas, wigs, hats, etc. The drinks are red - wine, Killians Irish Red, Fruit Punch, Jello Shots. The food is red - not too sure what all kind of food is going to be there, but it will all be red.
If you need further explaining, you have issues. Kthxbuhbye.
My new drink of choice in the mornings has been Monster Energy - Assault. Almost every morning I stop by 7-11 and pick up one of those and sometimes a bag of chips or candy and always a croissant (they are my weakness). The Monster isn't all that bad tasting, much better than Red Bull IMO.
Yesterday we went to the bike shop again, but found out that since they weren't a Specialized dealer that they can't order the bike I want. Oh well. We'll have to stop by the Tempe store and see if they either a) have it in stock, or b) can order it for me. Too bad it only comes in blue and silver. I guess I'd chose the silver, just cause it goes with more lol!!
So, my birthday is coming up -- July 29th. I'm not sure if I want to do anything, or if I want people to do something for me. I guess it would be nice, but I don't want to seem needy or like an attention whore. KJ is having her 2nd-annual Red Party on Aug. 5th and she said if I wanted to it could be a party for me as well. That would mean I'd actually have to show up then!!! haha We'll see.
I'm excited to get the mountain bike for my birthday. I think it would be the most meaningful birthday present I have gotten in a while. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that things people have gotten me in the past weren't meaningful, I'm just saying that I think that in the long run, this will be a big thing.
Well, back to work. I think I've procrastinated enough =D
Ok, so I had to write a quick blog about this.
I came home from work today and was tired as usual. After putting down all the stuff I was carrying, I decided to lay down in bed next to Ken. We were chatting about the day, then he got up to do something, and I got up as well.
Anywho, long story short, I laid back down, closer towards the bottom of the bed, and Ken comes up next to me and, instead of saying "Move up," he says ...
Wow, he's been on the computer waaaaaay too often!
We had a laugh, and I told him I was blogging about it cause it was so funny. Well, at least to us anyway. Tonight was a giggly kind of night to begin with, so it kinda went along with it. I love him so much! He makes me laugh often, even those days when I don't want to.
Ok, so things didn't go as I thought they would have this weekend. On Saturday Ken and I went to look for a mountain bike for me. I did end up finding one that fit me just right. The problem was that it was way expensive. BUT, the good thing is that they make the same size in a different model. Most of the bike shops were running low on inventory, or at least with what I wanted, because the new 2007 models were being shipped this week. So, hopefully the bike I want will be in stock.
And, because I didn't get the bike we didn't go riding Sunday morning. But that's okay. I can wait .. .. .. ok, no I can't, but I have to. No big deal. But I will show the specs of the bike I want.
